About Us
Western Wolves Women’s Football Club
Western Wolves Women’s Football Club was founded by two passionate members of the Tamworth football community who shared a clear vision: to create more opportunities for women and girls to play football in an environment designed specifically for them. Together, we outline a path forward that’s realistic, strategic, and tailored to your specific needs.
Our Why
Through their experiences in local football, Chole Nott and Fiona O’Keefe recognised that while participation in the women’s game was growing, many barriers still existed particularly around confidence, safety, and belonging in a traditionally male-dominated sport. They identified a need for a club that would actively encourage participation by offering a welcoming, supportive, and empowering space for females of all ages.
Our Community
Western Wolves Women’s Football Club was established as Tamworth’s first all-female football club to provide choice. The Club supports women and girls who wish to play exclusively in female teams, while also respecting and encouraging pathways for those who choose to compete in mixed competitions. Central to the vision is the belief that women and girls are capable, competitive, and deserving of equal opportunity in football.
Driven by a commitment to inclusion, community, and wellbeing, Chloe and Fiona set out to build a club where players feel safe, confident, and inspired. Not only to play the game, but to grow through it. Their vision continues to shape Western Wolves Women’s Football Club as a place where participation is encouraged, confidence is built, and the future of women’s football in the Northern Inland region is strengthened.
Our Commitment
Our Team
Chloe Nott
Chloe has dedicated over 20 years to the game, progressing through the ranks as a player, coach, and referee, gaining a deep, well-rounded understanding of football at every level.
One of her proudest memories is earning a place in college football in New York, USA, an experience that shaped her perspective on the opportunities the game can create. She draws inspiration from world-class players like Marta and Mary Fowler, both known for their skill, creativity, and impact on the women’s game.
After years of involvement in local football, Chloe spearheaded the formation of Western Wolves to grow and strengthen women’s football in Tamworth. Her passion lies in empowering players of all ages, creating pathways, building confidence, and ensuring every girl and woman has the opportunity to thrive in the sport she loves.
President & Co-FounderFiona O’Keefe
Fiona returned to football 11 years ago, balancing her love of the game with raising her four children, taking short breaks along the way but always finding her way back to the field. Since then, she has contributed both on and off the pitch, holding numerous committee roles including Registrar, Female Liaison Officer, and President.
Her favourite football memory is winning the 2023 Grand Final 2–1 at Scully Park in Tamworth; a moment sealed by an unforgettable soaring header into the back of the net that she will never forget.
Inspired by the creativity and confidence of Mary Fowler, Fiona is passionate about growing the women’s game locally. She brings dedication, leadership, and a strong community focus to Western Wolves, helping build programs that welcome, support, and empower new players at every stage of their journey.
Vice President & Co FounderTreasurer & Registrar
Natalie Willsallen
Natalie brings extensive experience in the development of female football and junior coaching, with a long-standing commitment to creating inclusive, supportive pathways for girls in the sport. She played an integral role in the expansion of Manly Vale Soccer Club, in Sydney during the early 2000s — a formative period when female participation was still emerging and opportunities for girls were limited.
One of her most memorable recent moments was winning the 2024 Grand Final after a dramatic penalty shoot-out at Scully Park. In goals for the decider, it was one of the most stressful yet fulfilling experiences of her 30 years in football. The highlight, however, was celebrating the win on the field with her son by her side.
Inspired by so many of the Matildas after watching them live at Newcastle Stadium, Natalie remains passionate about strengthening pathways and building a culture where girls and women feel supported, confident, and excited to play.
Committee Member & CoachTamsyn Spicer
Tamsyn played football for 8–9 years throughout her childhood before recently lacing up the boots again last year. A return driven by her enduring love of the game and the community around it.
One of her favourite football memories was watching Arsenal Women F.C. take on the W-League All Stars Women vs Arsenal Women in Melbourne, an unforgettable experience that showcased the strength and growth of the women’s game.
Her favourite player is Steph Catley, whose leadership and consistency continue to inspire the next generation of players.
Now proudly part of Western Wolves, Tamsyn brings renewed passion, commitment, and a belief that it’s never too late to step back onto the field.

“It tells the story of a community of women who all travel from separate locations to a central meeting place with a shared goal and interest which is to play football and be confident.
The bright feminine colours represent all the women and show strength, resilience and bravery.
The peel river flows through the picture, connecting each person and their community.
Footprints and Bandarr (kangaroo) tracks walk beside the river showing the connection between people, the water, animals and the land.”
